Visit Venezuela from Aruba?

Jump to last reply

My mother and I are leaving in about a week to go to Aruba for 10 days. (It will be a first visit for both of us.) We are interested in possibly going to Venezuela during our vacation, either for a day trip or possibly an overnight. Is this feasible? Worthwhile? I would imagine a day trip to Caracas would be difficult to achieve, with the time it would take to get there and the things to do / sights to see upon arrival... Are there organized tours of this sort to the city or to the Venezuelan or Columbian coast?

Or, would it be more feasible to take a short trip of this sort to Bonaire? I am travelling with my mother who, unlike me, has had some experience snorkelling (in the Bahamas) and is now convinced she will want to go off-island during our vacation. She is a bit stuck on Bonaire or Venezuela, even though our tickets are for Aruba! [Since neither of us has been to Aruba before and I've gotten a lot of great suggestions from the posts on this thread, I'm excited about our vacation regardless!]

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
