We want to rent a villa on either Virgin Gorda(beachfront-Mahoe Bay)or St. John (hillside). Are there beachfront villas on St. John? We are worried about which villas on which island to choose, since it will be August. We found a few villas on St.JOhn(Monte Bay, Villa Rendevous) which have CENTRAL air-conditioning, but cant seem to find something on Virgin Gorda. We need advice please!

You might consider looking at Villas in the Coral Bay area of St. John. Hillside locations will offer more in the way of breezes than you'll get over on the south side of the island out from Cruz Bay. In August that will certainly help. A pool to cool off in would be good too.
These islands are places to be outdoors - to explore the beaches and experience nature. Not to stay inside with Central Air. You might as well stay home.
