Hi,
My husband and I and 4 children are renting a villa on st john. I know they come "fully equipt", but I'm use to hotels supplying blow dryers, shampoo etc. Does anyone know what I should get such as paper towels, sponges, dishsoap, spices etc. Thanks for any help. Also were in the chocolate hole area, will we feel pretty safe there, we have never stayed in a villa before. Thanks again for any help or suggestions.

The rental agent should be able to answer those questions for you. Anything not there you will be able to get when you arrive. Enjoy!
Usually you will find toilet tiissue and papers towels and often someone will leave dish detergent behind. If your villa has a dishwasher, tuck in a few of those "pellets" you can use since it's expensive to buy a whole box of DW detergent. In the villa we stayed last time, various former renters left behind a variety of spices and seasonings, which was very nice.
Where are you staying? We stayed at Poi Pu near Chocolate Hole -- felt quite safe. In July we are staying at a different villa, but also in Chocolate Hole area. You probably won't need a hair dryer. Just stand out on the deck and let the tradewinds dry your hair. St. John is informal -- you won't be spending a lot of time getting gussied up! You will love it there. Enjoy!
Hi,
Thanks for your reply,
We did go to st. john over easter break and did find that the vila was fully equipped. They even had games for the kids, soap, spices and even a cookbook. We also stayed at chocale hole and my children loved being in such a natural setting. You are right we didnt need a blowdryer and never dressed up, We grilled swordfish on our barbecue two nights, it tasted wonderful. We were surprised that the prices werent bad in the grocery store and the casual restraunts. Have fun and thanks for the advice, we hope to return soon.
