Villa - Tryall or Roundhill

We are trying to decide between Seafore at Tryall or Blue Heaven with Round Hill Ammenities.

We have a 4 year old and 18 month old at travel and Round Hill had a kids club that allows 4 year olds. Tryall has a kids club but does not allow children until they are 5. My husband loves golf which RH does not have and I am not sure how close courses are to the resort. The Tryall villa is also on the resort whereas the other you need a driver to get to the resort.

Opinions?

Just a quick response, as I have one foot out of the door.

Blue Heaven is not AT Round Hill. it would be a drive for you to get there. You would have all of the privileges, once there, but it is not within the gates of Round Hill.

Tryall is a different story. The villas are all on property or within the gates...so all amenities are a short golf cart trip away.

Hope this helps...and I'll be happy to be more specific once my foot is back in the door

Thank you Marion, I appreciate your feedback.

I do know that Blue Heaven is not on the property, I am wondering how far it is from RH and if Tryall is strict with their pineapple kids rule of 5 and up on age.

It sounds as though you have seen both villas. Which is more kid friendly?

How far is Blue from golf?

Thanks again.

Hi Nicole,

Sorry, I should have read more carefully before posting in haste.

Reading again, I think Tryall would be the better choice. Although I have not stayed there (non-golfer here) I think having everything at your doorstep would be ideal.

As far as the age limit for the Kid's Club, I think you will find great flexibility there ;-)

I don't know whether you are booking directly or perhaps going through Linda Smith Villas ?

There is a gentleman here who posts under "Golf Guy", and I believe he has stayed at Seafore. I know he is a Tryall fan

Try a new post addressed to him and you may get some first hand knowledge.

When are you planning to travel ?

Thanks Marion, we are thinking Seafore as well. I am just a little nervous with my daughers and the pool. The other villa seems to be more child friendly in that respect. You are able to lock doors more. But the fact that we have the privacy and the resort is great!

I had planned on booking with Linda, but to be honest, I spoke with Bridget yesterday and she was quite hasty. Wasn't too interested in helping me select a villa. In fact, several that I chose or had questions on she just said no you don't want that. And moved on to another but wouldn't answer what was wrong with the ones I had questions on. When she realized our budget, she also didn't seem to be interested in speaking to me anymore and told me just to call back when we were ready to book.

I then emailed the questions I have here today and never heard from anyone there.

Having been in sales FOREVER, I was just not very impressed with their service.

Hi Nicole,

I am SO surprised that Bridget was not helpful and/or courteous to you ! Truly surprised !! I have done business with Linda Smith for several years, and Bridget is my *go to gal*.

Let's see what golf guy has to say...and then go from there.

You might want to give Bridget another chance to help...and although it sounds obnoxious, my last name is King...you already have the Marion part ;-)

Good luck !

I see that Golf Guy did respond to your question

Have you made any progress in the decision making ?

Hi Marion,

Well, things are still being planned. We may go with two other couples and if that is the case, I think we are going to stay at the Drambuie Estate. If not, we are going to go with Seafore.

Thanks for your help! I appreciate it!
