varadero with teenagers

Could you recommend a really nice all inclusive that teens (16 & 18) would enjoy.
I need shade areas around the pool and beach
because I burn easily. I don't like having to get up at the crack of dawn to "resurve"
an umbrella so if you can recommend a resort that has lots, that would be great!!
I am thinking about Melia Varadero as the reviews seem to be the best for this resort.
I am limited to resorts in the Air Canada Vacations book due to connecting travel. I miss Canadian Airlines!!!!

Why do you have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve the chairs, what the hell is wrong with your two teens on doing the job for you?

why are you going to "cuba" in the first place, nothing to do out of the resort and although the beach is beautiful you could go to bahamas or
dominican republic- punta cana(lots of
things to do, teens would love it and
alots of palm trees or umbrellas, no need to fight for one.) and the best
of all they both non communist contries.

The reason people go to cuba is because some of us like to get a better bang for our canuck dollar. Cuba is a lot safer than some of the other caribbean countries. The Turks and Caicos and the Cayman island are very safe, but for some us not affordable. I'll take my chances with Cuba any day of the week

There is no need to put quotation marks around the word Cuba. Believe it or not, its a real place that does exist out there.

The Melia Varadero is a nice hotel. It pesonally was not my favorite, but it has two beaches, a nice pool area, and it close to the Las Americas shopping centre. My fav hotel was the Tryp Penninsula which unfortunatly is not sold with ACV. With them, try to go to maybe Cayo Coco. Teenagers would love the Tryp Cayo Coco. It is a large resort, lots of activities, tons to do.
