Varadero - When and where to stay?

Message: We have never been and would like to know the best time to go - March, April and the best all inclusive accomodation in Varadero suitable for children - 3 & 5 yrs around the
solid 4 to 5 star range.

My favorite hotel there is the Tryp Penninsula offered by Air Transat Holidays. It has an amazing childrens program. They have two pools, one with the swim up bar and best for adults and the other is fairly shallow with a slide, and kind of looks like a castle built around it. They have a pirate ship for them to climb. They have a mini pool for the little children. There kids club has everything little ones will love. They put the families around this pool.

The resort is only 1 years old (finished July 2001). It is bright, clean and well run. I would go back in a heart beat.
