TWO DAYS St John - Next Week - Mapping It out -

Jump to last reply

My Husband and 11 Year Old Daughter are heading to St John Next Week for a Father Daughter Adventure....

We thought we'd sort out the details ages ago but haven't. Some major procrastination.

Staying at the Westin - Points - thats only reason but should be fine. I know, I know, it's short. They are coming in from ATL so it's not too bad.

This trip will be a little sampler and some fun father daughter time. They probably could never leave the hotel and be happy enough but they want some exploring too. I was thinking they'd just discover stuff but realize for such a super short trip it could be good to have some things mapped out. Hubby is too insanely busy right now to do the research himself and they will just end up not leaving the hotel if I don't offer some ideas. Like I said they'd be happy enough but also a little bummed that they didn't explore.

Saturday 12/10
Arrive into STT at 2:48 Not going to take the Westin Ferry - Just too much money
Arrive to Westin - Plan to just get to room walk around - take a swim have dinner there at hotel maybe

Sunday 12/11
I'd love for them to take some sort of guided excursion on Sunday or MOnday - I started to research a few things but what I found was like $500 for the day. I'd pay up to $150 each for something really special.
Dinner in town

Monday 12/12
Exploring on their own. WHat are the 1-2 beaches they must check out given so short a stay. They'd love to hike in somewhere or feel the really found a gem...that said they are directionally challenged. They could have lunch somewhere further away from the hotel.
Another dinner in town

Tuesday 12/13
There flight doesn't leave until 3:50pm STT - Not sure when they'll have to start out. I guess probably just hang out at hotel and beach/pool a bit.

They'd love to feel they found the In the know, locale spot etc. I have reviewed the forums somewhat but most people logically stay for week plus...so I'd love thoughts about the one choice for such short trip. I'd love to send them off with a few tips....hubby is too busy to research at all and daughter has gotten a bit overwhelmed like I clearly have this time!

And here's the other part I am ashamed to admit. I just never arranged the car! Partly because I wondered if taxi on day one, excursion on day 2, and then maybe they could just taxi around on their explore day, and then home on day 3. Kept meaning to post about it. Car rentals min is 3 days and It just didn't seem worth it. Plus I am a little scared of them driving. But I realize even if they have to rent for 3 days (but don't really use for 3 days) they'll want some sense of independence to explore etc. And since I have yet to nail down an excursion really they might want car for two days. So today I am going to make some calls to try to nail down a car if it is even possible.

Help me focus here!
