honeymooner, I don't recall the Oceanfront Deluxe rooms having televisions. I could be wrong though. We were there on our honeymoon and I just can't remember.
Overall impressions? Charela is a wonderful, wonderful small resort. It's one of those few places with the dubious distinction of not having a negative comment made about it.
For the price you can't go wrong!
I you have more specific questions, ask away.

I would not do meals included at Charela however. I found the food to be okay but there was much better along the beach a short walk away. Don't limit yourself to one resort when it comes to food in Jamaica - especially during lobster season.

Charela does have TVs now...not that any of the guests I met care. Mr. Grizzle (owner) states he had to put 'em in to fulfill some of the requirements of the rating organizations.
THe C is still a wonderful place that you'll delight in. We went at Xmas, 2003/2004...it was our 3rd stay there and we were treated as royally as the people who've stayed there 15 and 25 times! Enjoy!
