I'd love to hear from anyone who's visited in November. We've had some Caribbean trips in November marred by significant rainstorms, but that time frame may be the only chance we have to get away this year. Hoping to go mid-November for about a week from New York. Thanks!

We went to T & C in a May. Absolute perfect weather. Have been to Mexico, Grand Cayman, St. Lucia and Jamaica in a November. No problens except St. Lucia. That was 2005 when Hurricane Wilma creamed Mexico. We got significant rain, but not enough to ruin our vacation.

We have started going the first week of December instead over the last few years. Better weather and lower prices/crowds.

Not too sure about the coolness factor of T & C in November or December. Wouldn't be my first choice. We are returning to Jamaica this December. Have been to several different Mexico destinations the past few years in December. Though the ocean temps are fine, the pools are too cold to enjoy.

I guess the other poster doesn't know that you have already been to Aruba several times.

Thanks, quovadis. You're confirming what I thought. SIGH. Not interested in Aruba and love Hawaii, but it's way too far for a short break.

Thanks, KVR. I know from our experiences, too, that it's better weather in December, or much later in the season. But we only have a few weeks this year to get away. Darn it! T&C looks fine temperature-wise, so I may just take out travel insurance and keep my fingers crossed!

i've been on provo 3 times for 2-3 weeks at a time in nov. we had excellent weather each time.
i really couln't find any info from the weather site above. this one gives actual historical data:

a good option to provo is grand cayman. similiar topography with good dive/snorkel. plenty of restaurants. beach almost as nice as grace bay. it is more crowded.

We liked T & C OK, but didn't find much to do outside of water related activities. Grace Bay is gorgeous. We stayed at the Sibonne on Grace Bay. A small boutique hotel on Grace Bay with 26 rooms. We did like the location and the hotel. It's sits in between the Sands and Somerset. I like shopping, sightseeing and nightlife, so it didn't make our return list, but recommend for people looking to relax on a fab beach.

I agree with Virgina regarding Grand Cayman. When we went in a November there were no crowds, but that was years ago. Weather and water temps perfect. I would save T & C for a warmer month. Not just due to possilbe storms, but for the over all temps. I would want to be able to experience the best the Island has to offer whcih is water related activites.

Thanks virginia and KVR, I guess I'm a difficult customer. We were lucky and used to go to Grand Cayman all the time when my kids were younger, so were hoping to try someplace new. Anyway, thanks for the advice. I think we may make a run for it since we just want to be on the beach and don't care that much about other activities.

If you want to be on the beach, beaches don't get much better than T&C. If you love Caymans, you'll love Provo.

I wouldn't stress over the weather, Provo is actually one of the driest islands in Caribbean, and has the same chances as everywhere else for hurricanes, so based on weather doesn't really matter where you pick? It is still warm in November. Average mid 80s. Sounds perfect to me.
