My boyfriend and I are trying to plan a trip to one of the islands that neither of us have been to before. We enjoy white sandy beaches, food, wine, and adventurous activities such as zip-lining, biking, hiking, etc. My boyfriend also wants to stay at a resort. Do you have any suggestions?

The only island I know of that has zip-lining is St Lucia. We were there in March and LOVED it. The resort we stayed at wasn't right on the beach but on a hill above it and we really enjoyed both the location and the property...it's called Caribbean Jewel. Just a short walk from the heart of the night life and the local bus which we also took advantage of. Enjoy.
You'll find ziplining on St. Kitts but that island doesn't have "white sand" beaches. Because the island is volcanic in nature the color of the beaches range from black to brown to light beige and grey (depending where on the island the beach is located.
FYI - the beaches on St. Lucia will also have dark sand (except for one "man-made" beach that has white sand.
You'll also find ziplines on Dominica but here again the volcanic origin of the island results in darker sand beaches.
Finally, St. Martin has a zipline tour. The beaches on this island are the "lighest" of the ones mentioned but they are not "pure white".
You should know that when asking "Caribbean Experts" about "white sand" you'll invariably be told that the islands with the whitest sand are those that a coral/limestone based islands such as Anguilla, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Anegada, Barbuda, the Turks & Caicos and many of the Bahamas Out-islands. The thing is by definition these islands are also relatively flat with no mountains and thus unsuitable for anyone to open a zipline facility.
The upshot is if you want an island with ziplining you'll probably have to settle for beaches with a darker tint.
I think Antigua has a zipline now and it does have white sand beaches.
While it is true that the volcanic islands don't generally have the blinding white sand that places like Anguilla have, it is a little misleading to say that all of the beaches have "dark" sand. St. Lucia has its share of beaches with black, gray or brown sand but, in addition to the man-made beach RoamsAround refers to, there are also a number of beaches that are beige or off-white. For example, at the Sandals Regency, the sand is light yellow/beige, Reduit beach at Rodney Bay is off white and the beaches at Pigeon Point are nearly white.
Barbados also now has a zipline and white sand beaches.
Forgot to say, Barbados also has a wide choice in accommodations - all inclusive, resorts, hotels, guest houses, apartments and condos - lots of restaurants and a host of other "things to do and see".
If you enjoy those types of things, then Barbados is the place for you. They have almost perfect weather, clear water and wonderful beaches. You can swim. You can dive and snorkel. You can fish. You can golf. You can hike. You can surf or windsurf. You will never be bored! You can also see horse racing if that's your thing. It's a marvelous island to experience plenty of good food and nightlife, as well.
St.lucia is very beautiful too. You will not get the best of beaches but there are indeed some nice ones. You can go ziplining through the rainforest,Hiking,ATV's,Land and sea tours,horseback riding,golfing,so much to do in St.lucia. Exceptionally nice people and cusine.
