Our family of 4 will be traveling to Grenada to meet up with some cruising (sailboating) friends of ours for a 10 day vacation.
We need a place to stay that will be in close prximity to a good anchorage and preferably has a nice beach as well. We are looking for something like a cottage with a kitchenette. Any recommendations? Also, it sounds like a car is pretty mandatory, do they offer automatic transmissions?

True Blue Bay is a lovely anchorage, and also close to Prickly Bay (L'anse Aux Epines), a cruiser hot spot; if your cruising friends drop the hook in either, you will be right there. Blue Horizons, on the other hand, is closest to Grand Anse and Morne Rouge, neither of which offers an appropriate sailboat anchorage; if you stay there, you'll likely be taking a taxi to True Blue Bay or Prickly Bay to meet up with them. Of the two resorts, all other things being equal, True Blue wins for location for your purposes.
