Trip with girlfriends

I'm planning a trip with 6 of my girlfriends. I was thinking Puerto Rico would be fun. I would like a place where you can be active (hiking, biking, surfing) and also be by the beach. I thought of renting a house for a week. I was looking into Cordillera Central, Culebra or Vieques. Any suggestion?

vieques and culebra are islands off the east coast of pr. if you want to have access to activities, the rain forest, a nightlife you will need to stay on the main island.

Any location on puerto rico you can recommend for a girls trip? I'm thinking of renting a house by the beach.

I heard Costa Rica was amazing for surfing, ecotourism, etc...I was actually going to go with my girlfriends and stay at an all inclusive resort right on the beach for less than $400 bucks. When are you going??

Take a look at Zoni Beach house on Culebra. You will need to rent a jeep for the short trip to town and to explore the island but you would be right at what I thought was the prettiest beach on the island (Zoni). There are several good places to eat on the island that are casual and very reasonable (some downright cheap). There is a surfing beach, some hiking, and you could rent bikes or take a boat snorkeling trip (or snorkle from the beach in several locations).
