My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon in Nov/Dec '06 and need help. We are planning on staying a few nights at PSV (Petit St Vincent) and then the rest of our vacation at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia. The issue that we are coming across is transportation from Union Island (Grenadines) to St. Lucia. We are looking at both air or sea options. Unfortunately, I could not find an airline that offers direct flights from Union to St. Lucia. Has anyone ran into a similar problem or has anyone sailed from Union to St Lucia? Please help! Thank you.

We did that last year. Flew SVGair, a small commuter, from Union to St. Vincent, then took Caribbean Star a large commuter(which has direct flights) from St. Vincent to St. Lucia.
Check the Grenadines schedules at http://www.grenadine-airways.com/
Then check the schedules for Caribbean Star at http://www.flycaribbeanstar.com/schedule2.cfm
It can be a bit tricky since SVG Air and Mustique Airways (they interchange flights) schedule can often change.
LIAT, a large regional also flies from St. Vincent to St. Lucia, but they usually connect via Barbados - a real pain to do that. Stay with Caribbean Star's direct flights - they only take about 30 to 40 minutes.
You'll love PSV!
You might want to search PSV on this site and recent comments about Ladera Resort.
PSV has a lovely ocean setting but only adequate food and limited beaches for romantic walks but very good snorkeling at Tobago Key.
If your plans are not in concrete you might want to look into a honeymoon packages at Peter Island or Biras Creek. Both are understated elegant boutique resorts and generally no children under 12 except at school breaks. Also, both offer better food and the price is comparable to PSV.You also avoid killing a half a day+ getting from PSV to St. Lucia. But, St. Lucia is one of the prettiest islands in the Caribbean.Sorry to confuse you but I have visited all these destinations multiple times over the past several years.
Both Mustique Airways (www.mustique.com) and SVG Air ((www.svgair.com) will fly you from union to st lucia on a private charter basis. I do it all the time and they both have great service (though admittedly it is not cheap)
