Travel Insurance

Does anyone know how you go about getting travel insurance? I see recommendations from people suggesting that if anyone travels to the Caribbean during hurricane season, they should make the investment. Has anyone ever purchased it before? Thanks

We've had good experience with www.travelguard.com.
Or if you belong to AAA you can get trip insurance through them, also you may have trip insurance through a credit card if you use the card to make your reservations and pay for your trip.

I have purchased it for a number of trips, most recently through Travelguard. Make sure, if your concern is hurricanes, that you are getting trip INTERRUPTION insurance and that the policy actually covers weather events. I've collected on several policies (winter weather snafus, hurricanes, and airline snafus), so I'm a believer.

As they say in the commercial don't leave home without it otherwise you are playing russian roulet. Travelguard is one of the best. Be sure to request trip interruption and trip cancelation. Go to there web page at travelguard.com
Just stay home. They say the hurricanes are starting today and won't end until 2020. There will be not a trace of any of the islands left.
