Tobago snorkeling off the beach

Hi: I am considering a return visit to Tobago mid-January. We were there in 1998 previously, so a while ago. We will definitely spend some time at Blue Waters in Speyside again. Someone mentioned snorekling off the beach there. I don't remember the snorkeling being that great off the beach there although the beach and the whole place are a delight. Last time we spent two days at Arnos Vale as well to be on another part of the island since Speyside was a (lovely) long ride from the airport. We had an ok experience at Arnos at that time. . The snorkeling was very good that time. Our travel agent however has no recent info about the hotel and hears there have been some changes and problems. So I am looking for recent experience at Arnos Vale and/or another suggestion for a few nights with specifically with easy access to snorkeling. Access to a variety of restaurants would be good too.

Thanks,
Meme
