Tobago is the best for an authentic experience

I spent 2 weeks on Tobago and I have never seen such beautiful beaches - in my opinion the island has everything, including markets, rainforest, real people - rastas on the beach smoking, people who will cook for you in their own home - as well as the 5 star luxury hotels. We stayed in a little resort for $30 between 2 a night - we were about 15 seconds from the beach and there were NO other tourists there at all!!

If anyone wants more details let me know.

Jam

Would you have any recommendations for a Honeymooning couple in the Sept. 11th to 20th timeframe? Specifically, places to stay that may be all inclusive and near the beach, activities for when we're not sun bathing, etc., etc.

Jamboree,

I tried sending an e-mail, but it was returned. Could you provide more details of your trip...i.e. activities, where to stay, restaurants, any nightlife or areas that have more nightlife, etc. We are going with two very active individuals so any great tours, kayaking/hiking ideas would also be appreciated.

I agree with Jamboree, Tobago is authentic. The British Windwards and and Trinidad Tobago are the "real" Caribbean for me. A world apart from the northern Caribbean. The fresh seafood and produce is reason enough to go to that region.

Where did you find the information on hotels in Tobago? Do you fly into St. John's and ferry over? I've heard the Sugar Mill is a wonderful place to stay. Are there any all inclusives?

You must be thinking of Tortola. Tobago is hundreds of miles south of St. John.
