things to do in Nassau

Jump to last reply

We are going to a wedding in The Bahamas in 3 weeks. While hoping that no more of our friends choose to do a destination wedding (oh, the cost!), I am more of an art/history/culture person then a lay on the beach type of person, so I'm hoping to be able to do some experiences off the resort. (Although my husband would probably love to do the beach thing the whole time.)

I'm hoping that on the day after the wedding we can go into Nassau, near where our resort is, and see some sights and soak in the local culture rather than being on the all-inclusive resort the whole time. Any suggestions would be very welcome of things to do Nassau, especially historical sites.

I am a seasoned European traveler but don't have much experience in the Caribbean. Thank you so much in advance.
