I keep hearing how dismal the road and drive is from the airport in Mo Bay in Jamaica to the Sandals Whitehouse. We have booked our vacation already but I am concerned about the drive due to a very bad back and neck and other pain issues. Can someone tell me how bad it really is? Thanks!

If you have problems traveling longer distances on bumpy roads, perhaps this hotel isn't the right one for you. You can find two Sandals resorts right in MoBay, and those may be better choices.
My other suggestion would be to check the travel times from Kingston rather than MoBay. I think you'll find it a much better trip from there (and probably much shorter). But in general roads in Jamaica can be bumpy.
From what I remember, I didn't think the road from MoBay to Negril was all that bad. The Whitehouse is outside of Negril. It's a pretty long drive. I understand they have upgraded the roads since we've been there.

It's owned and run by a Sandals specialist. They can probably give you the info your looking for.
As I previously stated, we are already booked. We knew about the road and the reputation for being bumpy ahead of time. I just wondered if some of these other people were just complainers. We have stayed at a Sandals in Mo Bay before and have been to other parts of Jamaica, just not into the southern coast. Our other option is to take a helicopter and be dropped near the property. The e-mail that Sandals gave to us for the helicopter service was not a valid one.
