I am heading to St. Kitts next week on business. I represent a website that features tourism-oriented businesses in the Caribbean for the purpose of showcasing them to the world. This island is new to my portfolio so right now I'm hastily gathering a list of especially note worthy establishments so I can hit the ground running.

Can anyone highlight any hotels, guest houses, restaurants, bars, etc that impressed them while visiting the island?

P.S. Feel free to comment on any of the other islands tagged because they're in my portfolio as well! The more information the better!

Shipwreck is my favorite beach bar in St. Kitts. It's been on South Friar's beach for ages. Long before the island became a cruise ship mecca.

Are you including Nevis in your surveys? I'm more familiar with Nevis these days.

I'll be doing Nevis at the end of the month so any suggestions for the island would be appreciated.

Beach bars on Nevis include: Sunshine's, Lime, Double Deuce and Turtle Time - all located in a cluster on Pinney's Beach just a few hundred yards south of the Four Seasons Resort - and Chrishi Beach (aka The Love Shack) located in Cades Bay near the Seabridge Ferry dock and Yachtsman's Grill in the Hamilton Condos complex just south of Nelson's Spring.

On Nevis, take a look at the plantation inns (everyone knows about the 4 Seasons) and don't miss the Wednesday pig roast at the Hermitage, with local side dishes. Also pay a visit to Bananas, a lovely restaurant in an impressive setting overlooking Charlestown.

By the way, on many islands the term "native" is considered offensive - better to use terms like "local", "belonger" or even more formal words like Antiguan, Kittitian, Nevisian or Anguillan.
