Hello,
was wondering if anyone here has been to either of these resorts. We were leaning toward Sunset Jamaica Grande because they are supposed to have a teen center and also water slides. We are taking a 16 year old and a 17 year old. I read a review that said the maximum height for water slides was 48 inches which means our teens wouldnt be able to use them.... do they have much for teens?
Braco - any activities for teens there?
Holiday Inn Sunspree - anyone know how this one really is?
does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thank you!

With regard to the Sunset Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios, the hotel gets consistant negative reviews on Trip Advisor regarding room and food quality. Many "you need to know what you are getting into before booking" comments.
As much as I don't like the RIU's restaurant reservation system, with teens or large groups they are the better deal in Ocho Rios.
The Sunset in Montego Bay is a cruise ship drop off for their beach facilities. If you want to stay in Montego Bay look at the Iberostar Rose Hall.
Thanks for the quick reply - i am not set on any certain section of jamaica - just an all inclusive that is good for teens - if they are happy we can all enjoy. I just want a nice beautiful beach
My daughter wants to ride horses on the beach and wants some kind of activities for teens.
What would your suggestions be for any place in Jamaica?
thanks so much!
I am more familiar with adult only AI's. Here's a list of AI's in the Caribbean.

Many of the "nicer" AI resorts are located in Montego Bay. The Iberostar gets very good reviews in Mexico. However, MB is the least desired area to stay in unless you plan to stay at your resort and do guided tours.
Negril is more laid back. Not many family AI's in that area. There are 2 RUI's. We did stay at the RUI Tropical Bay and was not very happy with it.
Ocho Rios is more spread out. The cruise ship shopping area is a true test of patience. We had a better experience outside of our resort in Negril than Ocho Rios.
This is the tour company that most of the resorts book through. It will give you an idea of things to see and do in each area. Negril is about 90 minutes from MB and Ocho Rios is about 2 to 2.5 hours from MB.
