Sunset dinners in Aruba

Hi! We are going on our honeymoon from October 16th - October 23rd and already have 3 evenings planned..Kukoo Kunuku's bus one evening, Tatoo Party Cruise another, and the Happy Hour cruise another night. My question is that I am looking for nice romantic sunset dinners that we can go on the other nights. I have heard of flying fishbone but we have decided that it's too far away to drive since we like to enjoy a few cocktails while we eat. Are there any suggestions for such a place within walking distance to Oranjestad bus stops or near the hotels area? (We're staying on Palm Beach @ Divi Aruba Phoenix). My future wife would love an outside romantic beach dining adventure!

Thanks
Ben

The Phoenix has a very nice restaurant right on the beach. I think its called the Sunset Bistro. We have eaten there many times. You can sit right out on the beach and have cocktails and/or dinner (and watch the sunset). You can go in to the restaurant for dinner if you wish. The restaurant has many wide open doors to the beach so you feel you are outside. Also, Moomba Beach is a small restaurant between the Holiday Inn and Marriott property which you can easily walk to from the Phoenix. There is a walkway along the beach. Moomba Beach is right on the beach. You can sit with your feet in the sand or get under the large roof with no side walls for dinner. When we are in Aruba we try to eat outside as much as possible since we live in the northeast and don't get a chance to eat outside much.

Although I haven't eaten there yet, I've heard Simply Fish at the Marriott is nice - I plan to give it a try while I'm there in October.

The Pirate's Nest @ the Bucuti also has a beach dinner special. They set up a table for two right on the beach. Looks very romantic...

I thikn many of the hotels do somethng similar.

I highly recommend Le Dome on the Ocean. It's a sunset dinner cruise that goes from the high rise area up to the Lighthouse and back. It was truly beautiful the night we went, and the food was very good. It was one of the more romantic evenings we spent.

Try the lightshouse for Italian food and a beatiful sunset. Sunset Bisto is very nice too. Didn't care for The Pirates Nest. If you want to splurge try Le Dome not on the water but awesome food and service.

Loved the Bucuti, would stay there again but we didn't like the food at Pirates Nest.

As for the romantic dinner on the beach - the tables are set up very close to the main dining area so you could feel like a 'sideshow' for the other diners, there's not much to look at once the sun has set

Though not on the beach, hard to beat Le Dome for a lovely dinner. (Less romantic but equally or even more special is the order off the menu as much as you like, any order,Sunday Champagne Brunch at Le Dome.It is worth dressing up for and most people do.)
I would avoid eating at Bucuti. We found food to be very mediocre. Beach, cleanliness of rooms and and quiet low-key atmosphere are what makes Bucuti worthwhile.

Take a taxi to the Flyin' Fishbone..we took one there. It was very romantic.Reserve a waterfront table for sunset (around 5:30 or 6:00).Just a thought!
