Going to be on St. John in December and would like to take a day trip over to JVD, and, particularly, Sandy Cay. Any suggestions for particular boats?
Suggestions for Jost Van Dyke?

There are lots of operators that go to Jost Van Dyke from St. John but I don't know of any that will go out to Sandy Cay specifically. There is a catamaran that runs out of the Westin that we took to Jost one year and it was spectacular. They make an extra snorkeling stop along the way. (Sorry, forgot the name) Perhaps they would be happy to make Sandy Cay the snorkeling stop. You can also get to Jost by a series of ferries, it's less expensive but I loved the intimate sailing experience. They take you over to Foxy's for lunch and then to White Bay where you'll have to swim in from the boat. Fun!
We are renting a boat with a captain for a day through Ocean Runners in St. John and get to choose our own itinerary. We plan to go to Sandy Cay, Sandy Spit, Jost Van Dyke and maybe to the Willie T. From my research, I don't think that most of the large group boat trips stop at Sandy Cay. I think the Limnos charters trip does stop at Green Cay though.
there is a catamaran that leaves from Soper's Hole,Tortola, it goes to Sandy Cay, Sandy Spit, White Grape Bay in JVD (Stunning!) and Foxy's. Hotels should have all the infos.
