Suggestions for beach resorts with kids club?

Jump to last reply

We are looking for ideas for our next vacation (end of May) and are in the beginning stages of our search. I've tried searching on these forums but am not having much luck finding things that meet our criteria. Maybe our criteria are too limiting but thought I'd ask for suggestions.
We are looking for something that fits the following criteria:
-someplace hot & beach-front
-kids club or activities (we have a 5 yr old)
-2 bedroom room
-under $500
-non-Disney
Are we expecting too much with our price range? Also posted on FL & SC forums.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

I think looking for a "2 bedroom room" for $500 is going to severely limit your choices given you also want a "Children Program". Most resorts don't have "two bedroom units" but rather adjoining rooms which when priced together are going to exceed your budget. Those that have "multi-bedroom" units tend to be the more upscale resorts and those 2 BR units will be at the top end of the price scale.

All is not lost, however. I'd sugget you look at some of the "condo resorts" on Providenciales in the Turks & Caicos. Most are "family friendly" complexes with full full resort amenities. You'll stay in a fully furnished 2 bedroom unit, with living room, full kitchen and most likely a screened in porch or balcony. You shouldn't have difficulty finding something in your price range. Since the "condos" cater to families many will have some sort of children's program or at the very least there will be plenty of other children for your child to interact with on an informal basis. For starters, look at Ocean Club or Ocean Club West - very nice properties on Grace Bay (11 miles of beautiful white sand beach lapped by calm waters). There are at least 15 other "condo resorts" on Grace Bay in various price ranges that are similar in style.
