Suggesstions for 1 year Anniversary trip

My husband and I will be celebrating our first anniversary in June. We want to take a long weekend trip somewhere in the Carribean. We live in the southeast US so the time spent in the air will be minimal. We don't want anything too fancy. We want to be on the beach and nothing too crowded. I am in my late 30s and he is in mid 40s. Nightlife is unimportant. Just a few good restaurants is fine. We don't want to break the bank on this trip. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

The Cayman's might be a good spot for your anniversary. My husband and I went there for a week for our #15 and we really enjoyed it. We stayed at the Hyatt, Grand Cayman. We are leaving for PuntaCana,Dominican Rep. in a few days I'll let you know if it's worth it!
Yes, but, she doesn't want to break the bank and Caymans definitely constitute breaking the bank! There are just as lovely places to go that cost half as much. It cost my friend and I $33us for 2 hamburgers with fries and 2 beers at a not-so-fancy restaurant! Go to Cozumel!

Barbados is me and my husband's favorite island -- our 15th trip coming up this fall. From Miami it's a 4 hr. flight. Gorgeous waters, friendly people, virtually crime-free.

Try Sandy Beach Island resort for something moderate and good accommodations and yet on what we feel is the best beach in Barbados. They can be found on the web -- check out: www.barbados.org

Bermuda is ideal as well. Usually a 2 hr. flight from East Coast. It's a bit costly there then as that's their high season, but gorgeous places to stay, clean, picturesque, no poverty and beautiful beaches.

Cancun is reasonably priced with some beautiful water and all sorts of resorts.

You might check out possibilities on Travelocity or Expedia for packages. Also, as American is the major carrier throughout the entire Caribbean (others only go to a few islands), they have some great packages at www.aa.com

Good luck, Lois
