Hi, all. We're a couple in our late 20's/early 30's looking for a last-minute, week-long vacation (departing in early July). Does anyone have a recommendation or comment on any of these five resorts?
St. Martin - Radisson St. Martin Resort, Marina & Spa
Aruba - Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa
Jamaica - Club Ambiance, Runaway Bay; Couples Sans Souci; Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton
We've gone the all-inclusive route via Couples Negril and Sandals Halcyon (St. Lucia) and enjoyed the experience. She's been to Aruba and wouldn't mind returning. We like to explore the island as well as relax on the beach. We're looking for comfort, safety, pleasant surroundings without the "Spring Break" feel, and an overall relaxing vacation. If anyone has experience with snorkeling or restaurants (for the non-AI resorts) in these areas, please share.
St. Martin / Aruba / Jamaica - which of these 5 hotels?

I don't know the other hotels which you mention, but I do know the Radisson St Martin.
I have not stayed there because I live on the island only a few minutes away, but friends of ours left there only last week.
The hotel is beautifully finished, with - they claim - the largest pool on the island, and a nice beach. I wasn't over impressed by our friend's room. Perfectly OK, but nothing really special, and not with a good view. They also were not pleased at being charged Euro 8 each for two very short local calls !
Frankly, nice though the hotel is, from what you say, I think that maybe it is not for you ! It is not easy to get to, and if you want any form of night life there is very little to do within walking distance. In my view, you would probably be better off in one of the hotels on Orient Bay, perhaps the Almanda or the Esmeralda Resort - but make sure that you get a room with an ocean view.
If you want bigger hotels with all the night life / casinos etc., go to the Dutch side of the island, but the atmosphere is totally different, and you will be surrounded by high rise mainly condo properties, with lots of time-share.
The island (at least the French side which is not - yet - over-developed like the other side) is very pretty, and the beaches are great, and easilly accessible.
If you decide on the French side of the island, and you like food, Grand Case is an absolute must. It is the cullinary capital of the caribbean, and pretty much any restaurant is a winner. My personal preference there is L'Escapade.
Have a great holiday.
