My fiance and I are torn between Sandals St. Lucia Golf adn Spa and Barbados Almond Club and Spa. We would be going in the beginning of December. Any thoughts?

If you want to surround yourself with any kind of charm and beauty, you would be better off finding another place. Try Jamaica. You'll enjoy the Caribbean sea more and the all-inclusive resorts are better.

DON'T GO TO SANDALS ST. LUCIA GOLF RESORT AND SPA!! We just got back from there and it's not worth the money. (See my rating that I just posted) A friend of mine who also just got married went to Barbados and had a wonderful time. The water and snorkeling was great in Barbados from what I could tell from her pictures. The water in St. Lucia is not that blue and clear and we barely saw anything on our snorkeling trip. Good Luck!

Cori - We've been to both. I wouldn't go back to Almond. I thought there weren't enough choices. SSL was too big for our taste, but it's your trip. Weather on both islands should be the same in Dec. What do you & fiance like to do - snorkel, shop, hike etc? Maybe then we can give you pro's & con's at each resort

The previous poster was correct about the Almond Beach Club having limited choices. We found the Village, with four restuarants and a pizzaria, a much better choice. There are also lots of excursions that explore the island that the resort can arrange for you. We've never been to St Lucia Sandals but know several people who have stayed there. Their feedback was mostly positive because they received good deals and thought they got more than their moneys worth. Not many places are worth their rack rate.
