We are about to book a vacation, and I wanted some unbias advice. How does The St. Kitts Marriott with a 5 yr boy and 2.5 yr old girl sound?? I want to make sure there are some sights to do on the island, but have a low key- relaxing trip at the same time. Also, looking for good restaurant advice and should we rent a car?
Any advice would be great.
Thanks!!!!

A day at Turtle Beach where there are lots of monkeys.
A day to take the train around the Island and ending up at Brimstone Hill.
A day at the pool/beach.
I think the Marriott is a great choice for kids--there's a lot to interest them there, from the pool to the replica ship in the lobby.
I agree that a day at Turtle Beach is a good idea. In addition to the monkeys, there's also a huge pig in residence--as in about 700 pounds of pig! Food is also kid-friendly there and there are beautiful views of Nevis from there.
The fort at Brimstone Hill is also a good choice, but I would skip the headsets for the kids and just let them wander around and explore. Go early in the day as there's not a lot of shade and it will seem punishingly hot by midday.
The train looks fun, but it's about $100 per person, so I'm not sure it would be worth $300 for you & your kids...
I imagine your kids would also like another beach day, so you can either walk or take a short cab ride to South Frigate Bay beach and spend a day there. Nice beach, lots of beach bars with facilities--always a plus when traveling with littlte ones.
you might enjoy taking the ferry to Nevis one day to explore--they have an educational underwater program there that teaches kids about the fish, turtles, and a little reef ecology, and then it concludes with some snorkeling, I believe. Can't recall the name but somebody here will surely know the name of it...
You must be referring to Under the Sea in Nevis. This place is excellent with children. Very educational.

The Marriott is a place to take children. They have a kid's club available.

Instead of renting a car you can contact a local guide, Thenford Grey, who will give you and your family a tour of the island.
