Trip Report St Kitts Restaurants

Jump to last reply

We have been on St Kitts for 4 nights and the food is excellent.
1-Spicemill, the best gourmet seafood we have had here. Location is excellent. One can sit 20 yards from the beach and watch the waves lap in. Best Scallops I’ve had in some time.
Arrive before the sun goes down to get the full appreciation.
2-PJs Italian. Very good but owned and run by non-islanders. The food does not measure up to the price. The location is very convenient from the Marriott.
3-Beach House- Very Pricey but the best setting I think I have ever had. We were alone in the restaurant and watched 4 pelicans continuously skydive for fish. Mellow jazz in the background and not another soul accept the staff. The Seafood was not as good as Spicemill but the ambience is worth the sacrifice. Again arrive early and watch the sun light sink over the island of Nevis 4 miles to the south as the mellow waves come in.
4-Spratnet- This is a gem. This local lobster and Rib joint is excellent. For $35.00 US I got 2 drinks and a whole 2 lb. lobster Split and grilled. This is a local place and everyone was so nice. Many travelers make the 8-mile trek thru Basseterre to enjoy the great food.
I'll let you know where we end up tomorrow night.
