St. Barts-Day Snorkeling Adventure

We will be arriving aboard the Windsurf enjoying the beautiful Island from 8-5. Ship offers a catamaran trip to snorkel off Colombier Beach. Is this my only option for good snorkeling. Or are we better off renting a car and exploring the different beaches around the island. Thanks,
