So I know these are a ton of questions, thanks for bearing with me.

I'm going to be traveling to Trinidad and Tobago as part of an independent study project this summer researching marriage and wedding traditions of the West Indies. I'll be going alone, but have contacts to stay with in Arima and San Fernando.

Is there an age limit for renting a car in Trinidad or Tobago?
How much does it cost per day for a car rental?
I've heard that renting a car is the best/only way to get around to many parts of Tobago...is this true?
Would I be safe driving alone?

Does anyone know of a place where you can rent cell phones? Would it be easier to just buy one, and how much would that be?
Is cell phone service pay as you go in Trinidad?

How safe is the public transport? I know that is a pretty broad question, but I guess what I'm getting at is, if you were a 20 year old white female would you use maxi taxis to get around?

How would I get from the airport to Arima, and how much should I expect this to cost? Does anyone know a good hotel close to the airport, preferably less than $50/night. What about a good guesthouse type place around Port of Spain?

If you could only go to one place, do one thing in Trinidad or Tobago, what would it be?

And finally, probably a bit of a stretch-
does anyone have family or friends in Trini, or know of anyone who is getting married this summer (May-July?)
My goal is to attend as many weddings as possible for my research, so any help is welcome on that.
