Hi,
I have travelled to Europe several times ~ twice on my own. I never encountered any serious problems and always felt comfortable.
I thought about visiting Cuba as a solo female traveler but wasn't sure if it would be safe. I would like to get some input.
Thanks.

I was in Cuba nine years ago with a group. My sense is that it is a safe place to go as a solo female traveler, though I'm sure it depends somewhat on where you are going and what you want to see.
I'm hoping that Canuck_at Canada_eh, a regular Cuba visitor, will see your post and reply. You might want to search for his posts and read some of the good information he provides.
Ok, in general Cuba is safe and for sure it's the safest of the Latin American or Caribbean countries. But that being said, don't forget that you're still in a developing nation and you have to use some street smarts. I wander Cuba and Havana without trouble, though at 6'6" and 250 lbs that also helps! LOL!!
But in the tourist areas or Old Havana it shouldn't be any trouble at all. There's good inter-city buses (Viazul) and in town I'd stick with cabs which aren't that expensive.
How long were you thinking of being in Cuba and what's your rough plan of places to see?
