So just far far is Coral Sands from the Gap?
Okay, after much extensive research, have pretty much decided on Coral Sands for two weeks in Feb next year. Can't really afford it, but hey! whats a credit card for. But can anyone tell me just how far away it is from the Gap - how long would it take to walk in - or is it a bit too far to walk? Are taxis pretty plentiful? and does anyone know what is in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, in the way of bars and restaurants? thanks all! oooooh!! getting all excited already, must calm down.

We stayed at Coral Sabds about two years ago and really liked it. It is about a 15 min walk to the Gap where there are some excellent restaurants. It is also about a 10 min walk to the grocery store--Super B. There are a couple of restaurants by Coral Sands but we didn't try any. Had most dinners in the Gap

P.S. There is a post on Fodors called LOis tip sheet. It is an invaluable reference for those going to Barbados. I think a taxi to the Gap was $5. Coral Sands just got taxis for us when we needed one. Plenty available.

Howard, Lois, thanks to both of you. A taxi it is then...! I just wanted to make sure we weren't going to be stuck in the middle of nowhere, and amusingly I read various different views of the distance from the hotel to the Gap - varying from 5 minutes to 20 minutes!
