Thanks for the info. I'm trying to make some decisions for next year's vacation. I am planning one week in Anguilla, where I understand the water is gorgeous, but the snorkeling is not the best. For the second week I want good snorkeling, so I may return to St, John.

Your input is most appreciated.
Diane
We have been to all 3 places you are considering.
PSV is a beautiful place. Very private and romantic. The snorkling is great, especially at the Tobago Cays. The advantage at PSV is you can go right off the beach (except the Tobago Cays--require a boat trip). The "but" is that PSV is hard to get to.

Anguilla has outstanding beaches but snorkling not so good. Fantastic resorts, restaurants, and beaches.

BVIs have great snorkling sites but you will need a boat to get to most of the "hot spots" (the Baths, the Caves, the Pelicans, the Rhone, etc.)

All 3 places mentioned are very different one from the other. There are pros and cons. I have listed a few.
