Has anyone stayed at this resort recently. I heard it has changed hands and is no longer a super club. Any info on this resort would be helpful. Thanks

Bonnie: Sure hope this place is good. We are leaving in 2 weeks to this hotel.
Just returned from Sierra mar this morning. We had a great time. Rooms could definatley be cleaner but liveable. Food is O.K. Always can find something to eat. Entertainment is great. Beach is O.K. If you want any moe info you can e-mail me. I would definatley go back. Staff are wonderful!!
Bonnie,
Thought i'd let you know that the staff are wonderful at all the Cuban hotels.
If you thought Sierra Mar was wonderful you should try Rio de oro on the north coast.
The food, beach, and pool are marvellous and the rooms are spotless. The bar is open 24 hours and there are five different places in the hotel where you can eat. It is a bit more expensive than most of the other hotels but it is worth every penny.
