We are heading to Barbados next week. Should we exchange money before we get there or is it best to exchange it upon arrival? If we should exchange it upon arrival, where is the best place to exchange money? Thanks for all your help.

it's often quite difficult to exchange at home. most banks will not have barbados dollars available.
most shops/restaurants/etc on barbados will accept american dollar or credit cards and they do the conversion for you. in my experience atm's are the most convenient way to get local currencies. only exchange as much as you will need.
Thank you so much. It was very hard trying to locate a place with the currency.
Thank you very much. It was very difficult to locate the currency. I will take your advice.
You don't say that you're Americans, but if you are, honestly, I wouldn't bother exchanging money at all. US currency is accepted everywhere in Barbados because the exchange rate is set at 2 Barbados dollars to each US dollar. It doesn't really vary. You might occasionally get change in Barbados dollars, especially coins, but otherwise, no problem.
