Hi all. We are going to be in Grand Cayman for one day on our cruise. We'll probably spend several hours at Eden Rock snorkeling but we'd like to spend a few hours on the beach I've heard so much about. Do you all have any recommendations about where we could go for a few hours on SMB that would rent beach chairs to the public and have rest room and/or eating facilities? Thanks for any replies.

We took a taxi down to Sea Grapes Beach--there were beach chairs and restrooms there but it was so crowded that we walked down the beach several yards and found a great quiet area with shade trees. I always pack a Smartsheet and pick up beach towels before we leave the ship so we did without the beach chairs. We really enjoyed relaxing there and walking the beach--it's a beautiful beach
Thanks, LaindainOhio. That sounds great.

Many cruise passengers go to Royal Palms which is nicer than the public beach, Sea Grape is the official name but nobody on the island uses that name.
I agree that Royal Palms would be a good choice, and closer to George Town as well.
Stingray City was the highlight of our 10 day stay on Grand Cayman. Just sayin'
Cemetary Beach is really nice. There's no facilities, but a great beach with decent snorkeling.
Peace, Greenie
