hi rwarf22, welcome to fodors.
i have. twice. it's wonderful. an oasis of peace & quiet on an otherwise busy island. veery nice beach, never crowded, shade available, normally calm. all the units are individually owned condos, so each is decorated a bit differently. units are Large and have full kitchens. i stayed in a first floor beachfront (blding 3) and in blding 5. beachfront is wonderful with patio opening to the beach, but costs a bit more. blding 1 is closest to the rest/bar/prking so less desirable in my mind. #3&4 are very quiet.
blding 5 has a nice view of the bay and walk to beach in 2 minutes. good place to view sunsets!
the pool is a nice size but non-descript and does not have great view - it's surrounded by nice flowering bushes.
sh is located on the east end of the island near the small town of red hook. red hook has the ferry to st. john and all the bvi's if you wish to explore more than st. thomas.
the blue moon rest is one of the best on the island. the beachbar is fun but never gets loud/crazy.
good snorkeling off the beach to the right. has a dive shop. 15 mins from large grocery store and smaller deli style grocery in red hook. the staff has been there for years and everyone is really nice. you will need a car.
good italian nearby is romano's on the road into coki beach. havana blue at the marriot is one of my favs anywhere. gorgeous room and wonderful food. reserve a window table at sunset.
in red hook are several small spots to get a meal.
sorry my reply is not better organized... if there is anything else you want to know just ask. i really like this resort.

Thanks Virginia, your input is greatly appreciated. I was hoping not to rent a car and instead rely on taxi's. I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay at the resort and your response helps, thanks again.

I have stayed there and would return in a heartbeat. One suggestion I would make is to be sure and stay in a beachfront unit. They seem to be better maintained than the ocean view units, and the beach at Secret Harbour is really nice. Agree with comments above about the beach bar and restaurant - both very nice. Great snorkeling in Nazareth Bay. To have all this at your doorstep makes for a great vacation.
