Searching for a resort

We just got back from our Christmas trip to Mexico and already I am looking forward to next year. I thought we would mix it up a bit and try a new location. We are a family with 3 active tween boys and are looking for a resort that is on a good, sandy beach (not rocky) with water occasionally lively enough for boogie boarding, tennis courts and basketball courts or a hoop.

We have been to the Caymans, Atlantis and Costa Rica before. Would like to try something new. As fun and intriguing as I find renting a little villa in the out islands of the Bahamas, the reality is that my husband and sons need a basketball hoop for it be a vacation for the them so that has to be part of the package. For this reason, we really do need a resort.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you
