We have an opportunity to go to Sandy Point Beach Club through our timeshare. I have read reviews on tripadvisor but would love any more input. Regarding, the beach, the water, restaurants. Can you walk to restaurants and is the water clear? Any advice would be great!
Thank you,
Robyn

Hi Robyn- We were there two years ago in May through RCI. It is a fantastic place. The reviews on Tripadvisor are sort of misleading, because there is another hotel right next to Sandy Point. This is the place that gets bad reviews. The whole place is beautiful. I am not sure what kind of timeshares you are used to, but this is not one of those big huge gold crowns with everything. It is small in every aspect (small pool, grocery, etc.) The resturaunt wasn't great& there are a few within walking distance at other hotels (Coco Reef hotel was a nice splurge.) I remember that we ate out some, but cooked a lot in our unit too. We are a younish couple (early 30's) & found the timeshare perfect in spite of it's size. The units were nice & the staff was great. I don't remember much nightlife (we didn't care) & there is little/no shopping on the whole island. The beach at the timesahre is beautiful, but I don't think you can swim in it because it's a coral bedding beach. The sunsets will make up for it! There is another beach called Store Bay that you can walk to very easily that is perfect for swimming & there are food vendors there. Another beach is called Crown Point (take a cab- 10 minutes) it is the MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACH WE HAVE EVER SEEN (we have been to qiute a few!) You have to buy a day pass (it's cheap & worth every penny.) The water is very clear, as we are scuba divers, so we loved that! The dive staff at the timeshare is top-notch, they will even take you out if you just want to try diving. When we first got to Tobago & saw the island itself & the resort we thought "Oh no- what did we get ourselves into..." we just weren't sure. Tobago has a way with your heart- if you give it a chance you will love it. I came back pregnant... what does that tell you?
