Sandals - Ocho Rios

We're thinking of going to Sandals Ocho Rios in May/June - has anyone been there recently?

I've heard that it is need of refurbishment - any comments?

Also, is it possible to walk along the beach to Sandals Dunns River or do you have to go by shuttle bus? Also, is Beaches Grande Sport close by and can you use the facilities?

We stayed at Beaches Inn, Negril last year and were able to walk along the beach 5 mins to Sandals Negril and about 15 mins (quite scary in the dark!) to Beaches Negril.
