Safe Beach?

Hello, We are a group of 3 sisters who would like to go to the Caribbean in late Oct 2015. I realize this is the cusp of the hurricane season and perhaps some islands are less susceptible? Previously we have travelled in the Caribbean all inclusive but last year we enjoyed a lovely villa in Portugal and would like to repeat this experience. We love making some of our own meals and eating in lots of local restaurants for dinner. An absolute must for us is beach frontage. We just want to sit in the sand, swim in the water and read. Also security is important. We have looked at Grenada and then St Martins. Both places we almost booked and then were scared off by security issues. We are willing to pay up to $2000 US for a weeks accommodations. Does anyone have a specific suggestion of which islands, locations, we should be looking at? Most recently I have sent some requests to Aruba, Barbados and BVI,

I found Aruba very safe. There are lots of condos on the beach and is far enough south that hurricanes would less likely effect your vacation. There are many restaurants and food is very good there.

Grand Cayman was also a very safe island with lots of beachfront condo complexes.

Not sure of costs as we always stayed in hotels there. The caribbean isn't cheap and 2000 may be tight.

The Playa Linda in Aruba has a one bedroom suite that sleeps 5, but only a queen bed, and pullout sofa? It has a full kitchen and is oceanfront for 2100 for the last week of October.
http://www.playalinda.com/ I walked by it when we stayed at the Marriott. I am not sure what it is really like inside though. Trip advisor gives it some good ratings. It is a timeshare, but they rent to non owners.

Private beachfront villa for under 2K for a week? Good luck!! Non-beachfront maybe.....but a private villa directly on the beach is going to cost more than your budget.

Check out condo rentals on VRBO.com

Grace Bay Beach, Provodencialis, Turks & Caicos is our favorite place after visiting 20+ islands. Sit on the sand, read, swim? Perfect. Gorgeous beach!

We've stayed 5 times at Ocean Club West. That resort plus Ocean Club (further east) and Royal West Indies might be in your budget.

IMO, Aruba's beaches are very crowded. BVI and Barbados may be out of your budget plus will cost more to get there in time & money.

For us, we loved many others but found them just too hard to get to. Turks & Caicos is quite an easy flight.
