My fiance and I (age 30 and 31) are wanting a low-key, romantic honeymoon with nice beaches, polite patrons and beautiful scenery the first week of October. Of course, Bora Bora is a dream vacation and is out of our price range most likely. Is a 5-7 day vacation in the Pacific or the Caribbean with a budget of $6,000 a worthy thought? If not, can anyone offer any other destinations?

Swept Away all good as long as you do not get a big storm.
$6,000 is more then enough for most destinations in the Caribbean.
The first week of October is prime hurricane season, so that might limit a few choices. Look at Aruba, Curacao, Barbados or Grenada. Though considered out of the hurricane belt, it does not guarantee good weather. I would also suggest to get hurricane/trip insurance just in case.
If you are on the West Coast, I would suggest Hawaii instead for an October.
I have been all over the Caribbean, and have never spent $6,000. Even my most expensive trips were maybe pushing 5K. You shouldn't have any trouble at all finding a great place for that kind of money. I'd get a private villa in St John or maybe Virgin Gorda.
Negril Jamaica
We are initially flying out of Oklahoma therefore we are centrally located in the US.. Yes, we are aware of hurricane season and want to steer clear of the included islands. If anyone has any other locations in the world that we should consider, we welcome suggestions and opinions.
Marriot Curacao. I loved it!
It is known that the ABC Islands are the reportedly the safest out of the hurricane belt. Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaco. This does not mean they will not have remnants or rain for those months. I would look into Curaco. A friend of mine went to Turks and Caicos in mid october and had fabulous weather.
