Rincon Wedding
My fiance and I would like to be married in Rincon in Fall '04 and would greatly appreciate help finding possible venues. Most places we have contacted so far are booked (Villa Cofresi), too small for 90 guests (Casa Islena), too formal/expensive (Horned Dorset), or quite far from Rincon (Rincon Beach Resort). I know I sound like Goldilocks.
We want a location that is relaxed and informal, but still offers great food and atmosphere. Does anyone have any suggestions for other places to call, or opinions on the following contenders:
Tamboo Tavern (maybe too casual?)
The Landing (but is it entirely inside?)
Sandy Beach Inn (is it big enough?)
Rincon of the Seas (seems a bit big and impersonal)
All of these places have been helpful and have provided information, but we'd love to get a better feel for them from other travelers. Thanks so much!

It's probably too late if your wedding is this fall - but I just read your post. I've been going to Rincon every year for the last 10-12 years. The Landing would probably suite you well. It has an outdoor deck, right on the beach, yet has the a/c inside as well. I would not recommend Sandy's aside from being small (and parking for only a handful of cars) the food has gone downhill. If you're thinking Tamboo (as far as atmosphere), I would also suggest The Spot at Black Eagle, a little hard to find, but the food is GREAT. The atmosphere is a little above Tamboo and it too is right on the beach. Mitch and Amy will take good care of you. Wherever you decide, Rincon is a wonderful place to be. On a side note: Rock Bottom is a great little bar and their breakfast burrito is not only delicious, it's a great bargain. Good luck!

DC,
i have the perfect spot for your wedding!
There is a beautiful garden type Restaurant called El Molino de Quijote on the same road as The Primavera Hotel and the owner Carmencita is a dream to work with. The phone number for El Molino del Quijote is 787-823-4010. There are Cabanas there, Restaurant and beautiful outdoor garden dinning. This is a favorite spot of many coming to Rincon to get married. It's informal or formal whatever you want it to be. The Landing has been closed and it appears to be a permanent closing or it would be perfect.Good Luck whatever your choice may be!

Thanks for the suggestions! We ended up holding our wedding in November in Isabela. If any other brides are gluttons for punishment, I'll answer any questions I can about long-distance wedding planning in Puerto Rico.
