Quick question to anyone whose spent time @Young Island- My fiancee and I are considering it for our honeymoon, including the sailaway package, but we have questions about the all-inclusive package- Our thought was to keep things open so we could venture out to St. Vincents for dinner/lunch when we felt the urge, but I have not been able to find out much about eating out or the night life on the mainland. We're concerned we might get too bored with all the time on Young Island and wanted to be able to break up our time (we're a little adventurous), but I don't know what to expect off the island.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

The food at Young Island is fresh, mostly grown on St. Vincent fresh fruits & veggies, freshly caught fish, and meats. Delightful. You won't find many places better than that on St. Vincent...
However, if you sign up with some day snorkeling trips up the west coast and other adventures, you'll probably be having lunch in a "locals" spot. Our daughter and son in law loved doing that. Read their review at www.scubatreks.com
We went out for lunch three times during our stay at Young Island. We went across the cut to Lime N Pub. The food was just okay. We went to luch at Ferdi's Footprint in Georgetown. The food there was excellent! It is really your only option for a restaurant on the Windward side of SVG. We also took a sailboat to Bequia and ate at Max's pizza. The food here was excellent also.
Enjoy your trip!!
