I don't think we had a bad meal in Aruba but here is a fave our ours in the Palm Beach area. We loved the Flemish beef stew.

I agree I have never had a bad meal in Aruba. I don't think you will find a lot in the low rise area. We always go down the high rise where there are numerous restaurants. Recommendations depends on your price range, and what you are seeking. It is a broad subject. We like Smokey Joes good drinks and ribs. Whacky wahoos need a taxi Madamn Jeanettes need a taxi to get there or rental car. It is the best on the island in my opinion. Matthews seaside restaurant great breakfasts in Casa Del mar which is low rise. You can also go to aruba.com and go to forums. They offer a wealth of info on that forum.

How expensive is Madamn Jeanettes. The restaurant site does have a menu but no pricing. Would like to go but wanted to make sure we can afford it.

Well it is on the higher end, but it depends on what is affordable to you. I have not been there for 2 years as we skipped Aruba last year and went to Barbados but to the best I recall we did dinner dessert, and a drink for say $100.00 including tip. Maybe $80.00 It is a lovey place and I highly recommend. I believe the entrees range from $18-25.00 My husband always gets the encrusted almond grouper. The grouper is huge and hangs off his plate. A very generous portion. I get the steak and salad mixture. It is superb. I would try and fit it in--it is also a lovely ambiance. Be sure and make reservations as it can be difficult to get in during high season.

It is also a BYOB you can bring a bottle of wine they do however charge a $20 corkage fee.

Hey you can check out Driftwood Restaurant.
Located downtown, easy parking and taxis are very familiar with them.
Every visit to Aruba we go there to enjoy the seafood. But if you have a meat lover in your group, their Filet Mignon is always a succulent dish.
They have fresh caught fish every day. Local seafood dishes from shrimp to lobster. I always like their fresh catch in creole sauce.
Check out their website if you'd like more info www.driftwoodaruba.com. And I think they are on facebook too.

I also like Driftwood as well. They have a pre fix menu if you don't see it advertised you have to ask for it for they don't make it highly known. Like appetizer, entrée, dessert for $24.99 for example. Be sure and ask---yes they catch the fish daily it is great sea food and done nicely. We go to Aruba for seafood as well.
