Resorts in Curacao Please Help

My daughter (24) and I would like to visit Curacao sometime in April. Am trying to decide between Coral Cliff, Princess Beach and Sonesta. Has anyone stayed at Coral Cliff recently? The natural beach sounds good. What are room conditions like? How is the food? Anyone tried their shuttle? Free transfers from/to airport?
Sonesta sound nice, but may be too pricey for us.
Princess appears like Holiday Inn without too much personality.
Are there reasonable places to eat near hotels? We plan on dining out only a couple times and making do with less expensive places inbetween.
Does the Sonesta or the Princess have a shuttle into town?
Is renting a car for one day enough?
