I am travelling to St. Vincent in March 2007 and will there for one week. I am wondering if there are any apartments/villas/etc. for rent that are near/on the beach for 1 or 2 people. Thank you!

Try tripadvisor.com. It will give a list of the hotels in St Vincent. There will be reviews of the hotels and how they are ranked according to how people like them. Read as much as possible and when you see one you like post questions about them on Fodors and other travel websites. I use virtual tourist. Just type in the island and the hotel or resort. I hope this helps.
Do a search here for St. Vincent or for the username vinceygirl. She's actually down there right now on another vacation, but she recommends a small guest house right on the beach in St. Vincent. Small, clean, comfortable, affordable. I can't remember the name of the place myself but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
