Did I miss something here? Why did the forum topic questioning the bias of some poster's advice get deleted? I will say that after asking the question myself I thought about it more, and it makes perfect sense. If you love a place, and are passionate about it then of course you will seem a little biased, but that's not necessarily a bad thing as long as we don't sharply criticize the advice given by others.
Reason why topic was deleted? Moderators?

I was wondering the same thing. That was a post I was following and interested in hearing people's responses to. I think all of the responses in that thread (my own included) were valid and well thought out. There was no bashing or rudeness.
i miss katie too. new editor seems a smidge over zealous.
i think the reasoning is that OP made it quite clear who he/she was referring to (i'm fairly dense and knew immed who he meant) & we're not supposed to critize a poster (as opposed to posters thoughts)
or something we didn't see was added to the thread...
The OP named names and criticized the poster while using a 'pseudonym'! That's not allowed here which I think is fair.
Hi, I was the editor who deleted the other thread. My reasoning was twofold. First, as stated above, registering under a new name specifically for the purpose of criticizing another member is not allowed. We can all agree to disagree here, but doing so should be done openly so that a healthy and constructive response can be made. I didn't like the idea of keeping a thread like that around.
Secondly, I researched the "biased" user's posts. We moderate a TON of spam on here every day, and I just didn't see the same pattern with those posts as I do with others. I think they just really liked one specific property!
I can definitely understand your frustration with a deleted thread like that, though--so next time I'll post my logic on the original thread before zapping it.
Makes sense. If the original post had actual user names (and not changed for the purpose of opening a discussion) it would seem like a more realistic discussion. That's why when I posted a response, I didn't try to hide who I was, only seems fair.

I thought there were some valid points, but understand the "creating an account to call someone out " deleted.
AdamT, thanks for letting us know, it's awesome you took the time to explain!
good call AdamT.
hi adamt, thanks for explaining. really appreciate it!
if no one else has said it welcome to the caribbean boards.
Thanks for the explanation!
Makes perfect sense, Adam. Nice of you to take the time to explain!
Thank you (again) Adam...
As I was the person being trashed for having an opinion (this is a forum people) and a passion for The Somerset (no financial interset--yet) and TCI in general, I thank the others for being honest (not the cowards that hid under a fake name) I have always posted honest thoughts and yes I love The Somerset but, I have also suggested other resorts.
