Question for Blamona &/or Howard

Hello! I am currently planning my first trip to Provo for the early summer of 2007. I'm torn between Coral Gardens, Alexandra Spa, the Sands, or perhaps renting a villa. I will be traveling with my four year-old little girl, my 16 year old sister, and my best friend. My timeshare is affiliated with both the Alexandra and Coral Gardens, but I've read wonderful threads concerning the Sands (I would like to stay at one of the more pricier hotels, but I don't want to break the bank if I can avoid it). Thank you both for your help!

P.S. I am going in celebration of my 30th b-day and graduation from college

I've only stayed at the Sands of the 3 you mentioned. I've been through Coral Gardens rooms, and found them very nice, I have not been through Alexandria. I can tell you, you won't get Alex on your time share, owners of the weeks don't give up Provo to trade. (I've heard people waiting 3-4 years then giving up!) and I don't blame them, gorgeous beach!
Coral Gardens is in front of an off the beach reef. The water ther is usually very calm and clear, so excellent for the 4 year old. My daughter is 4, and already snorkels!
Sands is a great place for kids and teenagers, I always been comfortable there, and is walking distance to other restaurants and small shops. Sands is very centrally located, and their restaurant, Hemingways, is one of my favorites, and kid friendly.
Happy birthday, and congratulations!

Hi Blamona,
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I've seen your photos and they are the most amazing photographs I've yet to see! I really look forward to going to Provo...next year seems so far away!

A little surprised that your time share is associated with Coral Gardens as it's really not a time share. That said I do think the last phase of building they were selling weeks. These units are back from the beach with no view. Believe all are one bedroom and about 900sq ft. We have stayed at Coral gardens 15+ times and really like it. Have seen Alexandra and it's very nice but construction of the resort is ongong. Don't know what the situation will be in a year. They are building Windsong just east of CG but that should be finished in a year. I might be able to get you a good deal on a two bedroom Ocean Grand suite. 1800 sq ft, two bedrooms 2 1/2 baths kitchen, living/dining area wrap around balcony on the second floor with good view. If you lok at the CG picture on the web site it is in the building on the left second floor right hand side, If you wish we can pursue this further.

To Blamona--Send me a private message on the TCI Forum with yoour address. I have an awesome picture to send you but don't have a scanner.

Hi Howard! Thank you for your response. My timeshare is through Interval International and I was extremely surprised to see Coral Gardens in the travel book. I am definately interested in the Ocean Grand suite; please let me know how we may contact one another. Once again, thank you both and looking forward to hearing from you Howard!
