Hi there, just wondering - are there any stairs involved in getting to the beach from the pool of the Tryp Cayo Coco Hotel? It would appear that there is a decline in the terrain (from a brochure photo) and I'd be interested in knowing if there are many (or any) stairs involved. Also - please give me your opinion of this hotel, the service, accomodations etc. and the area... Thank you!

I'm sorry I can't remember if there is a step from the pool area to the beach. I don't think there is but I wouldn't swear to it.
The service at this resort is usually excellent but the lobby bar sometimes gets really flooded with people and service is a little slow. This happened when our flight was delayed and 300 people were kept at the hotel for 2 extra hours. The food is good in the buffet but not the best I've ever had.
The rooms are nice but I can only speak for the club side of the resort which is the newer side. Some people wouldn't think of staying on one side and some wouldn't think of the other. When I was researching I found that there was a very active board at http://forums.sympatico.ca/WebX?13@23.F1VHangXaPt^1@.ef16dc5
Read some posts there - the info will be more specific.
